Administrative Assistant / Customer Service

We’re looking for a Jack- or Jill-of-all administrative trades. This position is primarily responsible for scheduling appointments, giving info to people who call or email, taking notes at meetings, running errands, and otherwise relieving officials of clerical work and minor administrative and business detail.

Ideal candidates:

  • Either have a bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university, one to two years related experience and/or training, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Are well-versed in customer service and are capable of being professional and composed in all customer or public interactions
  • Have demonstrated strength at written and oral communication
  • Are organized and capable of maintaining and improving existing organizational systems
  • Are proficient with general computer use for administrative purposes on a Macintosh operating system
  • Have experience using and managing a digital calendar.

Additional requirements:

  • There are many situations where small mistakes can become big mistakes, so attention to detail is essential
  • You must be a great communicator. We work as a team on all projects, and communication is key. We would rather have you ask 100 questions than none and be silently stuck
  • Ideal candidates are self-motivated and proactive about work and solving problems
  • Candidates must have reliable transportation; running errands is an essential part of this job’s responsibilities
